Mangorata

Mangorata is a 6 piece jazz fusion band from Leeds, with a focus on resonant horns dancing over rich jazz harmony on a stage of rhythms from Brazil to Cuba to swing + more in a deeply explorative sonic journey, never twice told the same.

In 2023 they asked me to design their debut album’s cd. The brief was to encapsulate the amalgamation of the six artists together into one graphic image. The image was created my combining hand drawn ink illustration and lettering with digital color.

The cd was released in April 2023
