CUT OUTS
Cut Outs is a series of projects
wherein I worked in a system of cutting
out and piecing together elements
to create an image.
PROJECT 1: PAPER PETALS
Paper Petals is a series of paper cut/ painted flowers I created using coloured paper and acrylic paint in a decoratively patterned fashion.
PROJECT 2: SEVEN DEADLY SINS
In this project I created a series of images made from paper cuttings depicting the seven deadly sins through the lense of modern beauty standards.
PROJECT 3: EXPOSED
In this project I explored the impact of media on women’s bodies, in particular in the form of gossip magazines. I combined the format of a children’s interactive tactile play book with the themes and imagery of a gossip magazine. Highlighting how we are teaching out young girls this type of commentary is the norm.
